CFMX 7 Verity Spider Issues

If you've been having problems with the Verity Spider tool on CFMX 7 (as I'm discovering myself today), here's a technote that describes the issue and has additional files that resolve the problem:

Matt, I was a reviewer of that article, working with the author, and I also tested on Unix which has a special consideration. If you have any further specific problems shoot me an email. Although I used vspider a lot when it was first shipped with CF5, I had forgotten most lessons until I refreshed myself with this article. The first new lesson I learned was that if you have directory browsing enabled on your webserver and you don't properly use the -start and -include vspider switches, you'll very likely cause vspider to run every single page on your website. As I'm in Tech Support, I have volumes of pages that are only intended to be run carefully, so I unleashed all kinds of havoc with my first recent test. I ended up sending myself hundreds of emails, did all kinds of file modifications, ldap calls, queries, you name it. It almost brought down my workstation as I was fighting to stop vspider before it did more damage. Don't make the same mistake!
Many thanks Steven--I'm digging through this all now but that's a great heads up!
I've consolidated my notes on vspider when using Unix or Linux here, for anyone interested: http://www.talkingtree.com/blog/index.cfm?mode=alias&alias=CFMX7Vspider
